Just like Speed Dating, at our May meeting you will have the opportunity to briefly (15 minutes 4 times) “meet” 4 different knitting techniques demonstrated by 4 guild members. Here are the topics:
Margie Laury--Latvian Braid Homework: Supplies- two colors of knitted worsted yarn, needles (size 8). Cast on 20 stitches in one of the colors and knit an inch in stockinette stitch, end on a right side row. On next row purl one in one color, purl one in second color. Continue across, alternating colors.
Robin Freiman—2x2 rib Italian tubular cast on in the round
Miri Schachter—German cast on
Suzanne Sunday—Beaded icord cast off
You may want to bring some needles and yarn to try the techniques.
