this FAir isle wristlet pattern is homework for the class.
please have the wristlet completed and bring it to class with the materials listed.

materials needed for this project:
knitting needle(s) size to achieve the gauge. Use two 9" or 16" circular needles for knitting in the round
scissors
crochect hook #5, #6 or #7
Needle for sewing mattress stitch - bent or straight needle

yarn:
2 colors of yarn, a mc & cc of worsted weight woolly yarn
the contrast color should be clearly visible from the mc
**the yarn can be purchased from pick up every stitch. the staff will help you to choose the appropriate yarn.

gauge: 4 stitches = 1 inch

the wristlet will be knit in the round.

1. cast on 37 stitches in mc.
2. knit 3 rounds of knit 1 / purl 1 ending with a knit stitch. this is the ribbing.
3. follow the chart for the next 13 rows,
4. after knitting the 13 chart stitches, knit 3 rounds of k1/p1 ending with a knit stitch (same edging as #2 direction.)
5. bind off the ribbing.

*** the wristlet has a fair lisle (stranded knitting) pattern in the middle (* pattern). if you prefer you can alternate * pattern or knit a third horizontal stripe.

Bring the yarn you used to knit the cuff. you will need the yarn after cutting to knit the ribbing for a couple of buttons.
