The February 28 meeting over zoom will start at 6:30. Show 'n tell and updates until 7:00. Program begins at 7:00 PM. Mittens are cozy items to knit for yourself or as gifts. In this workshop we will be making them personal by adding our own designs to the mittens. • Skill Requirements- knit/purl, cast on/bind off, increase/decrease, working in the round, easy colorwork, basic finishing techniques • Materials – 1. 2 balls of worsted-weight yarn of different colors. 2. Needles in your preferred way to work small rounds (1 circular for magic loop, or 2 circulars for 2 needles method, or a set of DPN). 3. Printout of the graphs from the class handout. 4. Pencil for charting. 5. 4 or more charts you want to work with; it can be your own or from a knitting dictionary (can be colorwork charts, texture stitches, or other singular motifs) • Homework- With either one of the yarns, CO 40 sts for cuff, join in round. Next round: [k1, p1] to end. Rep last round for 4 more rounds. Leave the cuffs on you needles so you can continue your knitting. Additional details will be emailed to members a week prior to the meeting.
